Job Description

TRAINEE SOLICITOR - PRIVATE CLIENTSALARY: £20,217 PER ANNUMLOCATION: VARIOUSDue to continued business success and growth at GloverPriest Solicitors we are currently recruiting for a Trainee Solicitor who will, once qualified, work within our expanding Private Client department.The Trainee Solicitor position is ideally suited for applicants who have already completed an LLB Law Degree or those that have completed an alternative Legal qualification (ie: CILEX).This is an amazing opportunity! The role can be based out of any one of our Midlands based offices, Tamworth, Lichfield, Stourbridge, Quinton or Kings HeathIf successful you will complete a structured programme, which will include independent study and skills coaching preparing you for sitting the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations. You will also simultaneously gain your Qualifying Work Experience through workingfull time with us here at GloverPriest. Upon successfully completing the programme, subject to meeting the requirements of the SRA Character & Suitability test, you will be registered with the SRA as a fully qualified solicitor. We will pay for your tuitionfees, and you will be paid a salary whilst training and gaining your qualification.Your working hours will be 9-5 Monday to Friday there couldnt be a better time to join us. Roles and Responsibilities of the Trainee Solicitor will be:
  • Assist with the filing and archiving of documentation supporting the Private Client team and Fee Earners.
  • Complete administrative tasks including start up letters, engagement letters, client feedback, document filing.
  • Data entry
  • Contacting clients and potential clients for paperwork.
  • Answering the phones, taking messages, transferring clients, assisting with any queries.
  • Assist with the set-up and closure of new client files.
  • Assist with other administrative as necessary.
Experience:
  • Experience of working within a legal setting would be advantageous (paralegal) but not essential
  • Experience working in an administrative role or office junior role would be beneficial but not required.
Knowledge:
  • Good level of communication.
  • Computer literate, able to use Microsoft office and email competently.
Skills / Abilities:
  • Attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and willingness to perform a wide range of administrative tasks.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive team player
