IT Operations Support EngineerIT Operations / IT Support / ITIL / Fixed Term Contract / Remote / Lichfield My market leading and award-winning client, known for being a great place to work is looking for a driven IT Operations Support Engineer to join their growing IT Team. The IT Operations Support Engineer will help provide estate wide support and compliance for all devices and user issues at an estate level.This role will be on a fixed term basis until the end of November and will be working remotely initially with the expectation of some travel to my clients head office in Lichfield after a couple of months.Key Responsibilities: *Work closely with colleagues and other internal teams covering the incident and request processes.*Oversee full deployments of releases and patches into the live environment ensuring the environment is up to date.*Protect the BAU environment by ensuring that all releases are thoroughly tested and signed off before they are implemented.*Ensure you remain compliant with policies and work as part of a resolver team for hard to solve interactions, also working with wider resolver teams.*Work closely with Problem Management Engineers to address high volume or large impact trends across all services and devices.*You will be required to step into the role as incident lead when a major outage or disruption occurs, forming part of the resolution team as required.*The role covers core hours as well as out of hours support on a rota basis for Priority 1 incidents from 7am to 10pm over a 7-day period.*On occasion the role can also be required to cover unsociable hours for project delivery so a flexible approach to working hours is required.Key Skills and Experience required:*A high level of technical ability across multiple disciplines including networking, security, applications, desktops and EPOS environments.*Experience working with ITIL principles ensuring that the live environment is always protected.*Be able to remain calm whilst under pressure and have an ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time.*Strong attention to detail and be able to spot trends.*An ability to deeply analyse interactions to root cause an issue through to resolution and be able to stop trends from emerging.*An ability to communicate in a style that is relevant for the audience and remove jargon when dealing with colleagues outside of IT.This is a great opportunity to join a progressive company during an exciting period of change.
