Job Description

APU are looking for a Client Rate Advisor to join us, taking responsibility for gathering BHR (basic hire rate) data and information from a variety of sources and producing reports and supporting evidence, in relation to hire car availability. Critically,this will include the creation of draft statements to be submitted to court in support of non-fault motorists claims for hire charges, covering temporary replacement vehicles. This is a crucial source and presentation of information and supports the claimrecovery process and ultimate success.A little bit about usAPU Limited provide a prompt claims support service to solicitors, insurance companies and credit hire organisations.We offer a variety of claims support services including hire period statements, conducting interviews and taking statements, vehicle hire ratestatements, locus reports, and tracing services.With accreditation from The Association of British Investigators, the APU team are ahead of the competition in response to planned Government changes to the investigation industry.Our service includes all aspects of post-accident enquiry, in which evidence is gathered and used to produce court-compliant reports and statements for use in civil courts and tribunals.Predominantly involved in the creation of period statements, statement-taking,locus reports, and tracing services, we also produce basic hire rate statements and rebuttal statements.Comprehensive data-mining searches and background research is undertaken to establish the optimum tactical approach for each individual case.Some of the things youll be doing:You will produce evidential rate statements required for presentation at the relevant courts for small track claims. This will include preparing accurate statements for production in court in relation to the period of hire and liability, and in support of thenon-fault motorists presented case.A key part of your role with involve maintaining effective customer contact using a variety of communication channels, responding in a timely and constructive manner.You will be accountable for managing enquiries and requests for documentation in relation to road traffic collisions. This will require you to prioritise workload effectively and report requests in accordance with business demand.Although predominantly home-based, there may also be very rare occasions where you may need to attend court and present evidence in respect of non-fault motorists claims. Your detailed research will ensure you are able to present in a confident and compellingmanner under cross examination, confident in the evidence you have prepared and the reports you are presenting.You will also liaise with the non-fault motorists appointed Solicitor and Barristers as required and will provide support and reassurance to clients that are in attendance at court.The skills and experiences wed like you to bring our team:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of both mainstream and prestige vehicle specifications (not necessarily from work experience, but a healthy interest would be welcomed).
  • The ability to recognise the Claimants needs and requirements for the vehicle
  • Ideally demonstrable good geographical knowledge
  • Ideal but not essential, a general understanding of the GTA and ABI (Association of British Insurers) in terms of car hire provision
  • Competent with using (MS Office) MS Word and Excel
  • Effective time management and planning skills with ability to prioritise and recognise importance and urgency of workload
  • Technical thinker in terms of systems and processes
  • Detail conscious with a logical, problem-solving thought process
  • Adaptable with the ability to think on your feet
  • Ability to work under pressure to deadlines
  • Ability to question decisions
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm with hybrid working patterns.We offer a competitive basic salary and additional benefits including;
