Job Description

  • Job Title: Business Development Manager
  • Sector: Third Party Logistics / Warehousing / Supply Chain Solutions
  • Package: A very attractive salary package in the region of £80,000 to include high basic, commission / bonus, fully expensed car & fuel card.
  • Location: UK wide, however you will be based in the Midlands
Nicholas Associates Professional (Engineering & Technical) are partnering a leading provider of third party logistics and supply chain solutions as they look to appoint a Business Development Manager, to join their experienced team. This is a newly createdto position to help them build on their already existing markets and explore new market sectors. This is a unique opportunity to join a business with an already envious client base and allow the BDM the ability to forge routes into new markets. Location:Ideally you will be based centrally in the Midlands to manage any mainland UK based manufacturing operation. Key Duties ;
  • Responsible for developing new customers and support growth, identify opportunities nationwide to promote a range of Supply Chain/ Logistics services which include Third Party Logistics, Warehousing, Transport Management and Distribution Networks.
  • You will be instrumental in developing commercially compelling and innovative solutions for new customers from data collection through to modelling/sizing, detailed costing, proposal input and presentation preparation.
  • Lead the nominated customer through the Solution Design process
  • Following up leads and quotations and completing monthly actions and reports.
  • Support the marketing function and related communication opportunities with customers
  • Updating the CRM system from opportunity to order.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrable results in developing new and sustainable business opportunities within the Third Party Logistics, Warehousing & Supply Chain solutions sector is a must. We are looking for the Hunter as apposed to the Farmer.
  • Experience of logistics operations
  • Varied experience of different logistics sectors would be advantageous
  • Experience working with CLASS, AutoCAD, CAST, Paragon or similar modelling tools would be highly advantageous
  • A full UK Drivers Licence. Please note the position will require travel, so an ability to accept unsociable hours and/or overnight stays will be required.
Salary & Benefits
