This Company is one of the UKs largest privately-owned industrial engineering companies and supports three subsidiary businesses; providing engineering services to industry covering Machinery Installation and Relocation, Mechanical Engineering, Technicaland Heavy Lifting, Vessel Refurbishment and Wind Turbine Generator Construction on a National & International scale.They are looking for a driven individual to become a key part of their Vessel Refurbishment Division to fulfil a role including the day to day management of workshop & sites activities, internal project management, parts & stockholding responsibilities andall other duties involved in the running of an industrial services workshop.This is a brilliant opportunity to use your organisational, logistical and engineering skills & expertise and take your next step with a forward-thinking organisation.Based at their purpose build site in Leyland Lancashire, you will be required to organise the daily activities of the site under the guidance of the Branch Manager.This will involve assisting with process of the ingress, refurbishment and dispatch of vessels used for the mass storage of gases, from small cylinders up to large bulk storage vessels weighing in excess of 20 tonnes.They are a well-equipped professional business that hold a large stock of specialised lifting and installation equipment designed to carry out their specialised engineering tasks allowing you to carry out your duties safely.Main Duties- Organise internal resources to complete works on a daily basis- Purchase required goods and services such as materials, specialised sub contract services where required- Maintain stock levels for general materials and component parts- Ensure buildings, plant & equipment are in good order, serviced and compliant- Administer job information through the clients & their internal systems- Maintain training records for safety critical qualifications- Record information on internal management systems- Prepare job related equipment and paperworkThis list is not exhaustive, and you will be required to undertake other duties as directed by your manager.Apply if you have relevant experience of any of the following:- Workshop or engineering works management- Production engineering management- Construction or Engineering operations managementOther key skills needed:- A good level of IT literacy, including familiarity with MS Office- Awareness of health & safety requirements- Engineering understanding & practical experience- Man-management skills- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills- Commercial Awareness- A Can Do AttitudeOther companies may call this role Workshop Manager, Engineering Manager, Projects Manager, Operations Manager etcAdditional Benefits:- Annual company bonus scheme - 12% of your branches profit shared between staff/charity- Monthly additional bonus scheme - Pension- Death in Service benefit
