Company description:GXO Logistics Supply Chain Inc.Job description:Are you an experience Maintenance Technician Are you looking for the next step in your career Does the opportunity of providing multi-skilled service for one of our grocery sites excite youWe are currently on the lookout for a Maintenance Technician to join us on a full time, permanent basis at our Waitrose site in Leyland. You will work a Monday to Friday rotation shift pattern of 06:00 - 14:00 during week 1 and 14:00 - 22:00 during week2. We ask that you have a flexible approach to this role as you will be expected to cover call out every 1 week in 3 (call out covers Monday - Friday, 22:00 - 06:00, and 24 hours over the weekend.Pay, benefits and more:Were looking to offer a salary of up to £34,000 per annum plus a call out rate. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday pay (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. Youll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as wellas a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.What youll do on a typical day:

  • Fault finding, repairs and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring the continuous maintenance of the equipment and overall uptime of the operation
  • Carry out small project electrical installations, including selection and quoting of materials making sure that warranty agreement procedures are always followed
  • Accurate completion of maintenance reports and inspection records, making sure that all aspects of QSHE standards and HACCP acts are always maintained
  • Identify and progress continuous improvement opportunities within the department and across all areas of the operation, enhancing the service to our customer
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • 18th edition electrical qualification is essential
  • Experience working in a similar facilities or engineering environment would be advantageous, but we will consider those from other backgrounds
  • A flexible approach is a must, as youll be on call during the week and weekends
  • A team player with a good level of IT skills, we work hard so we need you to do so too!
