Job Description

A market leading business based in Leyland, Lancashire who are a manufacture of coatings are currently looking to recruit for a Maintenance Engineer with an (Electrical Bias). You will predominately be the main sole Engineer on site with additional supportfrom another Engineer who will support on a part time basis. This is a permanent Full Time opportunity with an immediate start available for the right candidate.You will be required to work from 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday (40 hours per week) with a highly competitive salary and one of the best pension schemes around, plus 28 days holidayYou will be:

  • Working as part of Manufacturing team performing reactive and proactive maintenance on factory machinery and infrastructure.
  • Have to react to breakdowns, diagnose faults and minimise down time.
  • Will be performing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and installing new equipment. Selection of equipment / Vendors / Contractors and implementation to all relevant codes and regulations.
Experience & Educational Requirements:
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience preferably in an environment where chemical powders and liquids are being handled.
  • Able to perform maintenance tasks including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshoot & repair of production machines & equipment.
  • Able to read and interpret equipment manuals & work orders to perform required maintenance & service.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean and CI methodology in order to drive improvements.
  • Experience of paint manufacturing would be advantageous.
  • Recognised apprenticeship in electrical/mechanical
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations plus Compex Cert Ex01-06 required.
  • Portable Appliance Testing trained (PAT testing).
