Engineering Shift ManagerPrestonPermanent We currently have a vert exciting opportunity for an Engineering Shift Manager at out location in Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global FMCG brand at the heart of the operation.* To lead and motivate of a team of Multi-skilled Engineers to meet production/engineering targets and increase OEE and line efficiencies. * Conduct regular 1-2-1s and appraisals with team members managing performance through the setting effective goals, identifying training and development requirements and managing any identified performance/absence issues. * To monitor machine downtime and take all possible steps to minimise loss of production capability. * Responsible for the completion of the daily Preventative Planned Maintenance schedule and ensuring shift handover reports are completed timely and efficiently. * To identify, lead and participate in continuous improvement groups. * Effective control of contractors ensuring the company SHEM standards are enforced at all times.Experience * Educated to HND/HNC Level or equivalent, with 5 years experience of Engineering, of which at least 3 will be in a supervisory role. * An excellent communicator able to build trusted working relationships within the Engineering Team and across other departments in the business. * Have an analytical and systematic approach to fault funding with a good idea for detail and the ability to apply practical solutions. * Previous FMCG experienceAcorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
