Job Description

Job Title: Clinical PsychologistLocation: Lancashire - covering 3 schools in Salwick, Leyland and DarwenSalary: £43,654 - £47,483 per annum depending on experienceHours: Full- time 40hrs per week - Term time only would be considered for the right candidateWe are currently seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to work as part of a therapy team for an innovative provider of specialist education and care, working in the 3 North West Schools based in Lancashire.The role:This exciting new post has been created to develop and embed the clinical offering to young people. The multifaceted and therapeutic approach aims to address the whole person, taking into consideration clinical biological, physiological and psychologicalaspects. The post holder will work collaboratively with school staff to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for their young people.You will be providing a systematic high quality psychology service within the 3 schools, working with others to promote the wellbeing and best interests of the young people. This will endorse the effectiveness of the educational offering to achieve the companyaim of providing the highest quality service to their young people and ensuring a provision in line with best practice guidelines and internal policies and procedures.Experience /Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate doctoral level in Clinical Psychology or Psychotherapy equivalent.
  • Registered with the HCPC and BPS or equivalent.
  • Experienced in working with young people with ASD and complex needs
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
  • Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with children and young people Good knowledge of relevant psychometric tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full valid UK driving licence and access to a car
