Role: Website Editor OfficerLocation: London/Hybrid (3 days per week)Salary: £27,000 - £30,000Contract: Perm/ FTI am delighted to be working with the UKs longest running food redistribution charity. This charity was born out of the belief that no good food should go to waste, especially when people are hungry. This wonderful charity is seeking a permanent resourceto join the Web and Platforms team.The role is largely focused on ensuring that a key individual in the Food, Fundraising, Volunteering and Network teams are consulted monthly to review the website content, and for the Website Editor to keep it up to date and relevant.The website is built using WordPress, so a strong working understanding of how to edit, host and maintain a website in WordPress is essential. By supporting the Web and Platforms master in this role, you will be able to identify and suggest opportunitiesto improve the customer experience and customer journey for the key audiences that use the charitys website, namely donors, volunteers, food partners, charities, and other interested parties (such as media and interested citizens).Website performance has been improved massively over the past 4 years, and page load times, bounce rates and stickiness metrics have all been improved. Suggestions on how to further improve the performance of the website are welcomed!Communication, relationship building across teams, and timely interventions are the backbone of the success of this role, it will be key to maintain relationships with individuals in key departments.Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular audits of website content and processes with key staff from other departments to understand performance levels and whether content or processes need updating.
• Keep the Web and Platforms up to date, and understand proposed changes before they are executed to ensure the overall smooth functioning of the website
• Monitor website performance compared with industry benchmarks
• Support the web and platforms master with development projects
• Report back to relevant departments when updates are made, tested, and published

Essential Criteria

• Personal or professional use of WordPress to edit, maintain, manage, and host website
• Ability to communicate well with other teams
• Ability to deliver projects on time and advise when problems occur in a timely manner
• Ability to brief line manager of proposed changes in advance of them being made in order to maintain integrity of website
• Microsoft Office tools 6. Beginner to intermediate HTML, CSSWritten handouts / ppts to support the above training.
• A project plan for proof-of-concept trial of InCopy and/or a SaaS.
• A proof-of-concept review paper for the InCopy trial.

Desirable Criteria

• Intermediate to advanced HTML, CSS
• Beginner to intermediate Javascript, Jquery
• Beginner to intermediate PHP
• Hosting and platform experience in case of unexpected downtime
