Job Description

Shift EngineerLocation: LeighSalary: £45000 to £47500 depending on experienceHours: 2 days and 2 nights, 4 on 4 off 18.00 - 06.00 nights and 06.00 - 18.00 daysAmazing benefits for the Shift Engineer:

Are you looking for an excellent opportunity to join an established company, who really value their staff Please read on..Due to their ambitious growth plans, there is a new role available in the Maintenance team as a Shift Engineer to support the Company on their journey to becoming a world class food manufacturing facility.Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Shift Engineer will:
  • While on shift knows the current performance of the lines
  • Carry out ongoing repairs and maintenance across site
  • Ensure Engineering Work Requests are completed to agreed timescales and carry out planned work during none Breakdown situations
  • Maintain strong lines of communication between the engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Ensure effective hand overs between shifts and a full detailed shift log is completed and sent out
  • Utilise all engineering systems
  • Ensure the highest standards of health & safety, food safety and other manufacturing practices are being achieved and maintained by yourself
  • Maintain winning ways behaviours around company policies
  • Understand downtime issues & targets
  • Work with the senior improvements engineer to carry out line improvements
  • Participate in CI activities on shift
As the Shift Engineer, you will:
  • Be a multiskilled electrically biased time served engineer - HNC level or above
  • Be computer literate with a knowledge of CMMS systems
  • Have FMCG experience (preferable in the food industry)
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
