Job Description

Trainee Composite LaminatorShepshedMonday - Friday 07:30 - 15:30Salary: £19,500 P/A25 Days holiday + Bank holidaysRole day to day:As a Trainee Composite Laminator you will be responsible for constructing complex composite parts from resin-impregnated carbon fibre, glass fibre and aramid cloth to begin with under the supervision of an experienced laminator with the aim to progress to beingself sufficient. You should be willing to learn as a Trainee Composite Laminator in order to get the most out of a great opportunity in a fantastic site which is renowned throughout the area for being a great place to work!Key Responsibilities:* Prepare and apply sealants and release agents to tooling.* Verify material kit and tooling received prior to starting laminating.* Hand layup pre-preg carbon fiber material as per instructions provided* Manufacture components for cutting edge aircraft* Create vacuum for autoclave cure ensuring no leaks and that the bag forms complete shape of the tool including bag checks for leaks and placement within the autoclave.* Achieve production schedule* Ensure the facility environment is kept safe, clean and organized* Observe all company safety rules, policies and proceduresBasic Requirements:* Good hand eye co-ordination* Enthusiastic attitude* Is a team player* Can follow verbal and written instructions* Previous experience in manufacturing is a big advantageAll applicants must have right to work in the UK and if this sounds like the next step or the start of a long career in aerospace this is definitely the role for you!
