Job Description

Senior People Partner @ Saint Gobain PAMSaint Gobain PAM are looking for a creative, open-minded, confident people person to join the team at Holwell Works, Melton Mowbray. At Holwell, we make access covers and gratings which keep our roads, communications and water infrastructures running smoothly.Which means we have lots of skilled, hardworking people in an iron foundry who we need to look after, provide a rewarding and secure career for and make an essential and hard job rewarding and enjoyable for.Thats where you come in. You will be joining us at an exciting time, as we embed our co created values, move to a people centred, values led way of resolving conflict (move over disciplinary policy, your wanted back in the eighties) and develop our leadersto create great personalised employee experiences for our people.You will be a core member of the Holwell Leadership team and be front and centre of driving change and pushing the team outside of their comfort zone. You will coach a team of hardworking and passionate leaders and support them to be their best. And youwill laugh, learn and grow as part of the lovely PAM People team who are going through a journey of their own as we transition from "HR" to "People" as we move away from being the guardians of policy and procedures and re focus on culture, development andemployee experience.What does that look like You will

  • Partner with the site leadership team, spend time getting to know what they need, supporting them through people challenges and pushing them to be their best and influencing them to make it happen.
  • Own the Holwell people plan
  • Support and challenge our leaders to live and breathe our values, show they care and develop amazing teams
  • Encourage a culture of personal development, create and source exciting and interesting development resources, find ways to prioritise learning and reflection and support leaders to have regular and meaningful development conversations (we dont do appraisalsand form filling here, we do real talk)
  • Own our wellbeing strategy; support our wellbeing champions and help our people to show they care and to be their best, whatever that looks like today
  • Lead culture change and employee experience projects and manage sustainment to support our people strategy (both site and PAM wide)
  • Be creative about communication, get the message out there and keep it alive
  • Play an active role in business critical discussions and challenge, feedback and input on site wide decisions impacting our people
  • Line manage the HR Coordinator - support, develop and coach them through day to day people administration and low level ER issues
  • Provide practical, empathetic advice on people challenges and support leaders to own processes, decisions and difficult experiences
  • Drive resource and succession planning processes and people reviews
  • Create and deliver an attraction and recruitment strategy using diverse and inclusive means to create teams who reflect our values.
We would love someone with experience at a leadership level and ready to hit the ground running. CIPD qualified or degree level with experience is preferred. If you are a qualified coach or had experience coaching professionals even better! But first andforemost you must fit with our values, be empathetic, resilient and up for a challenge.
