Job Description

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting with a East Midlands Council for a Senior Solicitor/Lawyer to join the legal services within the Children & Young Peoples Service and other departments as required, helping advise and be a advocate when needed.ROLE: Senior Childcare Lawyer SALARY: £50-£65ph BASED: LeicestershireOFFICE: Full time- HybridThe Role-

  • Experience of Children Act, previously worked in a Childcare Legal Department
  • Providing advocacy and advice in relation to the Children & Young Peoples Service
  • Providing professional advice and guidance in order to assist departments in interpreting and implementing Government policy and legislation to promote understanding and improve consistency.
  • Providing appropriate recommendations and advice to officers of the authority, members and the Cabinet/Committees/Panels, Case Conferences and other inter-agency meetings, as appropriate.
The Person-
  • Current Practising Solicitor/Lawyer/Legal Executive
  • Experience within a childcare/Family Legal Department
  • Providing the best quality of service to customers
  • Co-operation with and support for customers, managers and colleagues at all levels, ensuring that this is a priority
  • Flexible in taking on additional tasks
  • Willing to offer help and support to team members and others, including training where appropriate
