Purchase Ledger / Accounts AssistantLeicesterC£25,000 p.a. DOE

  • The Company:Eileen Richards Recruitment are excited to be working with our client who are a imaginative, forward-thinking manufacturer based in Leicester. They are now seeking a Purchase Ledger/Accounts Assistant due to the success of their company. The successful candidate will be driven, honest, and have a charismatic personality, in exchange the company offers an excellent salary with the potential to be financially supported for further accountancy qualifications.Role & Responsibilities of the Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant:
  • Ensuring supplier invoices are matched to PO’s and POD’s, then entered and verified via supplier statements in line with monthly deadlines
  • Dealing with supplier payment chases and invoice queries
  • Producing the weekly and monthly payment runs and submission to the bank
  • Submission of monthly VAT Return
  • Submission of Monthly/Quarterly/Annual ONS Survey Data
  • Assistance with the production of the monthly management accounts
  • Production and distribution of weekly and monthly reports
  • About You as the Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant:
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with Sage 50 Accounting software
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills especially with the use of Pivot Tables, Sumif’s formulas and tables.

  • Monday to Friday hours 8am-5pm with a 1 hour early finish on Fridays
