A great Production Managers role has presented itself, working for a professional and forward thinking window and door manufacturing business that are undergoing an exciting period of expansion so that the business can achieve the next level in their developmentplans. As Production Manager you will play a key part in this plan, helping to deliver excellent quality products to their customer base.Your role will be to manage a team of dedicated and conscientious Fabricators, optimising their performance through development and training whilst ensuring that operations across the factory floor run efficiently and safely. You will be able to bring yourown ideas to the role, building on the processes and procedures that are already in place and which help to produce between 600-800 frames per week to a business that plans to manufacture 1000+ products per week whilst still maintaining their reputation forreliability and quality.The company has a modern and computerised factory floor and have invested heavily in new equipment whilst retaining a loyal and skilled workforce so the ingredients are all there to enjoy the next challenge in your career. You will be responsible for alloperations within the factory from receipt of order from the office through to dispatch, ensuring that all planning and tasks are carried out correctly. This will include ensuring that the machinery is maintained properly, your team understand and have thenecessary skills to perform their duties properly, working with the Office to ensure there are sufficient stock levels to manage workflows, quality control and overseeing all manufacturing processes.You will be a senior member of the management team and will report into the Managing Director who fosters a positive and continuous improvement culture within the company.Applicants will need to have previous experience of managing manufacturing operations, ideally working for a busy Window & Door Fabricator. You will need to be a skilled Manager of people who is able to instigate change, preferably with experience of increasingproduction outputs whilst minimising waste and inefficiencies. Experience of lean practices would be advantageous. Applicants will need to be excellent forward thinkers with strong planning and organisational skills and should be comfortable working withina modern manufacturing setting that uses bar coding systems and technology to create advantage. You must also be driven by quality whilst ensuring timescales are achieved and be willing to report and inform at all times.This is a fantastic chance to join a progressive uPVC Window & Door Manufacturer and make an impact.
