Job Description

As part of the central placement function for this leading UK Insurance Group, youll work with a regional panel within the business on strategic broking and placement, to engineer the book for the best possible outcome.Youll look at deals, portfolios and schemes where appropriate, as well as using your market presence in this high profile role to call in a favour from partner insurers on the odd high value, or hard to place risk.As Placement & Broking Specialist, you will:

  • Enjoy a high profile role, both externally in the market and within the group - this role is created by internal promotion, and is proven to fast-track career advancement.
  • Be challenged with a varied role, supporting existing clients, and working with management on acquisitions into the business to re-engineer their placement.
  • Work for one of the biggest names in the UK broking market.
  • Thrive on trading, and getting the deal done - youre the insurer market of the business and youll enjoy the freedom and authority to negotiate.
  • Be well rewarded and supported by the firm, with training and where you need it and autonomy when you dont.
  • Be home based, with regular travel regular travel to group offices in the West Midlands, East Midlands and East Anglia.
  • Receive a salary upto £45,000 + car allowance, bonus and package.
You
  • An Account Handler, Executive, Broker or Underwriter; youll see greater market exposure as a step forward in your career, and welcome the challenge this trading role brings.
  • A deal maker, at home in the role of Placement & Broking Specialist.
  • Youll be a self starter, able to manage your diary and comfortable in a remote/home based role and based in or near the Midlands or East Anglia - for example Birmingham, Norwich, Leicester, Peterborough, Northampton, Coventry, Lincoln, Warwick, or surroundingareas.
