Job Description

Free Parking, Remote working is available 2-3 days per weekNJR are currently working with a well-established and successful firm of Independent Financial Advisers and are now seeking a strong technical Paraplanner to join their practice to support 2 of the Companies Financial Planners who service a Client Bank ofHigh Net Worth Individuals.As Technical Paraplanner you will be primarily working with the Managing Director and one other adviser by contribute to the objectives of the business for the provision of full paraplanning and administrative; whilst ensuring the production of first classresearch and report writing and ensuring that the firms client and service propositions are delivered in an efficient way. Our Client operate a family culture and they work collaboratively across all arears of the business.Responsibilities:

  • Supporting advisers in research and analysis for at retirement options
  • Preparing comparisons of income options including annuities, third way solutions and income drawdown
  • Preparing illustrations and supporting documents for use with clients
  • An understanding and familiarity of Equity release: the options, market place and process.
  • Experience in dealing with long term care solutions
  • Dealing sympathetically with bereaved clients in the event of a claim
  • Liaising with insurers and product providers in relation to a death claim
  • Assisting with the transfer of assets on death
  • Liaising with Estate Personal Representatives and/or Legal Representatives
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a paraplanner
  • A broad general knowledge of the current at-retirement options a client can consider
  • Familiarity with researching the at retirement market and awareness of which providers are in the market
  • An understanding of how Equity Release works
