Job Description

Days based Maintenance Engineer required to carry out proactive and reactive maintenance at a fast paced FMCG manufacturing site.Client DetailsOur client are a leading food manufacturing company. They have multiple sites in the UK and employ over 4,000 employees.DescriptionThe role:

  • Ensuring the effective running day to day of the Engineering department
  • Ensuring PPMs are up to date and downtime kept to a minimum
  • Compliance of all Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Attend to breakdowns, rectifying problems to enable continued production
  • This will include vac packing machines, vac pumps and film over-wrapping machines
  • Electrical fault finding and maintenance (PLCs, inverters, stop/start control circuits)
  • Maintain and service temperature control equipment
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to the department
  • Being the ambassador for the site at all times, behaving in a professional and courteous manner with both internal and external customers
  • Undertake other jobs as reasonably requested within the scope of the job to improve the running of the department.
ProfileApplicants should be:
  • Multi-skilled with a background in both Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance.
  • Holding NVQ Level 3 or coming from a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Fault find on PLCs.
  • Able to do Experience of electrical fault finding and working with PLCs
  • Self-motivated, driven and a also a good team player.
  • Experienced in working in the FMCG industry or similar manufacturing background.
Job Offer
