Job Description

You have the chance to join a Market-Leading organisation in an exciting, interactive role on a 12-month contract, with the potential opportunity of an extension. As the Lab Technician, you will be involved in the testing of products from the initial feasibility studies through to supporting activities associated with the registration stability & full development, in line with site procedures.Client DetailsThis market-leading business manufacture a vast array of specialist FMCG products including pharmaceuticals, & after an exciting period of organic growth, they are looking for a Lab Technician to join their Analytical Research & Development Department. Working cross-functionally, providing support to the R&D Organisation, testing products from the intial feasibility studies through to full development.DescriptionYou will be working as part of the Research & Development team focused on the testing of products. The role will involve early feasibility studies through to supporting activities associated with registration & full development.Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate, record and report analytical data in line with departmental procedures
  • Complete work and documentation to standards of compliance designated by external Regulatory bodies and internal Company procedures
  • Investigate atypical results using basic problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to suggest improvements and generate ideas
  • Have a good attendance and time keeping record in accordance with general working practices of the department
  • Working Hours: Mon - Friday (40 hours)ProfileA Lab Technician who is available to start at short notice for a 12-month assignment, with potential of an extension. The successful candidate will be from a pharmaceutical/chemical/lab background & also have the following:
  • Must have experience of pharmaceutical product testing in a GMP environment
  • Working knowledge of analytical instrumentation, preferably HPLC/UPLC, GC, IR and UV
  • Good understanding of GMP
  • Ideally, experience of testing inhalation products
  • Ideally, experience of HPLC analysis
  • Ideally, experience of the development and optimisation of HPLC/UPLC methodology
  • Knowledge of Analytical Chemistry and its practical application in a non-academic setting
