Head of People£55,000-£65,000Derby - 3 days on site, 2 days working from homeAre you a Head of HR with an appetite to drive change and has experience managing business integration and setting up HR functionsFancy working for an SME recently acquired by a wider group that are investing heavily in upgrading everything from systems to the business structureThen look no further!Macildowie HR are incredibly excited to be exclusively supporting an SME business in Derby to source a Head of People as they enter their next phase of evolution. The role will be the most senior point of HR in the SME business but with a dotted line intothe HR Director at Group level.The business is currently going through a full revamp with investment from the group to upgrade everything from their systems to their operating model. Change is happening left and right centre and they need a resilient leader who embraces change to helpdrive the business through this exciting but challenging time.You will initially be in a standalone HR role with potential to grow a team following the business integration. Therefore, this role requires someone that can jump between presenting new and creative talent management and retention strategies, and roll theirsleeves up to deal with ER cases and recruitment. Initially the role will be c65% operational and 35% strategic whilst you get your processes up and running and navigate the current change programme. Following that, and once youve got some juniper help inplace, the role will be more of an even split with 50% operational and 50% strategic, identifying and delivering new HR initiatives to transition the HR department into a more commercial arm of the organisation.This role is fully generalist and whilst there are various HR initiatives pushed out by group, such as the engagement survey, you have the autonomy to ensure the group initiatives are fit for purpose for your country and identify further ways to add valuethrough other HR projects to progress this SME into the best version of itself.So, now you know about the role, what experience are they looking for
