Job Description

Would you like to help us make the world a safer place, people protecting people & working for a company recognised by UK SuperBrand and UK Top Employer awards 2022.Are you looking to take your first steps into Security, or maybe you looking to gain more knowledgeIf so, this could be the role for you!This is a role that is full of variety, working with different clients, offering plenty of experience and opportunities to develop your security abilities.We are looking for a Security Officer to join our team, covering the Leicestershire area, up to 35 miles.Guaranteed 12 - 48 hours contracts per week with the availability for overtime.Pay rate: £10.75 per hourThis role will cover a rotating shift pattern of 10- 12 hours working days, nights (including weekends & Bank Holidays)Full site training and uniform are provided.Your typical day will be to:

  • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site.
  • Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV.
  • Patrol externally and internally
  • Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Display an outstanding level of customer service.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by Management.
Essential Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Be punctual and reliable.
  • Share the Securitas Values - Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness
Some things you will need:
  • Right to work in the UK and have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
  • A full UK driving licence and own transport due to location of clients sites.
