Fleet/stores operativeImmediate start availableYou will be working forour client- This is a permanent positionLocation of work Barwell, LeicestershireHours of work MondayFriday, 08:30-16:30Pay £9.00 per hourAbout our client:From a vision to create a new meter operator dedicated to support the smart meter roll-out programme. A trusted partnership approach has been a long-standing tenet of the client and is reflected today in the successful commercial and operational arrangements they enjoy with multiple energysupplier clients.Job description/responsibilities:

  • General warehousing duties including receipting goods in, maintenance of a tidy store and despatching items to customers or field-based colleagues
  • Placing purchase orders, chasing delivery dates, ensuring full receipt
  • Building safety processes including weekly fire alarm and emergency lighting testing
  • Assist with valeting and arranging collection/delivery of vehicles for servicing or repairs
  • Occasionally travelling across the UK to meet field-based colleagues to either collect returning vans or deliver replacement vans.
  • Provide remote support for logistics colleagues in Bolton office
  • Work with the on-boarding team to ensure all new starters arriving at the training centre have all necessary equipment, including tools, uniform, and PPE in time for their arrival with the business.
  • Ordering in all starter kits, liaising with new starters for uniform sizes
  • Sorting stock and tooling from returned vans, either locating goods in store, repurposing in new kits or returning stock to main warehouse
  • The Successful Applicant / Experience:
  • Warehouseexperience is beneficial but not required
  • Excellent work ethic motivated and possess a good attitude to work
