Field Service Engineer - Forklift Trucks Leicester based, England wide Day shifts 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday £38,000.00 per year (negotiable depending on experience), +overtime premiums Company Van, Laptop, Mobile Phone provided. Full-time, PermanentAs a Field Service Engineer based out of Leicester, working across England (Leics, Northants, Birmingham, Sheffield), you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer FLTs are in good working order, servicing and repairing as necessary. The trucks could be gas, diesel or electric, and the breakdowns can vastly vary by job. This is predominantly a mechanical role but any electrical experience is welcomed. We are looking for someone with great mechanical fitting skills. This role would suit someone who has worked wither directly with forklifts, or, someone with a plant fitting background (or similar) who maybe wants to move into a cleaner environment. Due to dealing directly with our clients customers, a good level of customer service is also required as you will be representing the company brand. Key Responsibilities:· Conducting servicing, preventive maintenance, and repairs on both company-owned and customer forklift trucks to minimize unscheduled repairs. · Providing clear and transparent information on the status of equipment, service, repair, or inspection and offering recommendations for maintaining the equipment. · Collaborating with the parts department to ensure timely and appropriate repairs, adhering to required time frames. · Completing documentation in accordance with company standards. · Always Adhering to Health & Safety requirements. · Demonstrating proficiency in computer operations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:· Comprehensive mechanical and electrical expertise, showcasing robust diagnostic and repair skills. · Essential experience in a similar role. · Proficiency in dealing with hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical equipment. · Effective communication skills, capable of clear and concise interaction with customers at all levels. · Possesses a full driving license. · Own hand tools. Specialist tools provided.
