Job Description

The Company:

  • A printer and convertor of barrier and laminate film products is looking for a Customer Technical support to join their team.
    • Job Title:
  • Customer Technical Support
    • Territory:
  • Home Based role with UK & Ireland Travel
  • This position is a field-based role and involves significant customer interaction and problem solving at the customers premises
  • This is a 6-month temporary role
    • Key Responsibility:
  • Troubleshooting technical and quality issues at a customer’s premises
  • Working closely with company sites to fully implement any corrective actions and ensure customer satisfaction following issues
  • Working with the sales and technical teams for New Product Development and assist with new product line trials on customers’ and/or machine manufacturers’ packing lines.
  • Working with machine suppliers for packaging lines to optimise performance
  • The above responsibilities will also apply to film supplied to the UK and Ireland from other company sites, as such this role will be part of the wider European Field Technical Service (FTS) team

  • Experience of working with packaging lines preferred (i.e. HFFS, VFFS, Lidding, Vacuum lidding, Pouch Filling)
  • Experience of plastic packaging preferred
  • Experience of working autonomously
  • Strong computer literacy skills, including a high proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
    • Salary:
  • Up to £41,000 pa depending on experience plus car
