Job Description

Were looking for an experienced and talented Customer Service Manager with strong administrative skills and a commitment to the delivery of an outstanding client experience.The successful candidate will join a well-reputed and successful Toy Distributor, known internationally for their well-loved brands. Youll oversee the customer service and administration function within the business, taking ownership of and accountability for departmental performance and targets.This is an interesting and varied role, and presents a wonderful opportunity to join an enterprising and cohesive team, with the joint vision of driving forward the continued growth and success of the company.Duties and responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the customer service and administration function within the business, with ownership and accountability for departmental performance and targets.
  • Managing the Customer Service Team.; ongoing recruitment, training and developing of the team to deliver the highest standard of customer service.
  • Identifying and making improvements in customer service and sales order processes, assisting in increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Handling escalated issues, complaints and promoting brand protection to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Leading the team to ensure all issues are picked up resolved and communication is robust and clear.
  • Delivering projects designed to meet company goals by challenging the status quo and coaching the team.
  • Identifying and addressing problems and areas for improvement within the overall business function.
  • Providing Personal Assistant (PA) support to the Managing Director, as required.
  • Contributing to and supporting the leadership team in all areas.
  • Providing support to the field-based team including sending reports, letters, and collating information.
  • Participating in marketing activities as required such as product launches, promotions, advertising, trade shows, etc.
  • Maintaining excellent product knowledge on the whole product range.
  • Maintaining a good awareness of market and competitor activities and report, as necessary.
  • Continually focusing on how to increase efficiency and reduce costs, improve existing systems and working practices and policies.
  • Working closely with and supporting other departments and colleagues to ensure the business runs smoothly.
  • Acting as a conduit between different departments providing important feedback and communication.
  • Producing and analysing monthly business performance statistics, and reporting back.
  • Attending customer and client meetings, travelling as required.
  • Skills and experience required:
  • Extensive previous experience in a similar Customer Service management role with people management.
  • Experience of dealing with both trade and consumer enquiries.
  • Ability to multi-task, work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment and with high attention to detail.
  • Takes an enthusiastic and pro-active approach.
  • Enjoys working in a small team environment.
  • Strong skills in numeracy and communication (both written and verbal) along with excellent analytical and IT skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the software System Navision would be an advantage.
  • Happy to take direction, but also able to work autonomously without supervision.
  • Flexible working as required.
  • Hours of work:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm with 30 minutes lunch break
