Job Description

Accounts AssistantSouth LeicesterPart Time (20 Hours Per Week - 4/5 hours each day)£20,000-£25,000 Pro Rata

The Company:ER Recruitment are excited to be working with our client, a business renowned for its quality and innovation. They are now seeking an Accounts Assistant who possesses office administration skills and Sage 50 to become an integral part of their team.Role & Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant:
  • Carrying out clerical duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, general reception duties.
  • Performing bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing and monitoring accounts receivable
  • Processing orders received onto manufacturing software
  • Confirming delivery dates and prices once these have been checked.
  • Managing sales ledger including calculating labour costs on job sheets for orders despatched, raising customer sales invoices (through Sage), inputting payments received, supplier statements reconciliation and month end reconciliations
  • Administration for despatch and inbound deliveries and export and import of overseas shipments
  • Manage petty cash and expenses
  • Book couriers
  • Chasing debt by telephone and email and reducing debtor days
  • Maintaining general office files, including filing orders, delivery notes, invoices, and other files related to the companys operations
  • Performing other relevant duties when needed
About You as the Accounts Assistant:
  • Experience in an admin role and happy to work alone
  • Experience of working with Sage 50 Accounts Professional would be an advantage.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook 365
  • Knowledge of overseas paperwork requirements is desirable
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and think ahead.
  • Accuracy, attending to detail and self-checking ability is essential.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to effectively self-manage.
  • Positive and proactive.
