Web DeveloperAlfen is delighted to be working exclusively with one of the trail blazers in loT home. This business headquarters in Leicester is going through a period of explosive growth due to the fantastic reception their products have received.The business provides a fun and friendly work environment without the usual corporate constraints that are found in a consumer electronics business whose products touch millions.Web Developer Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining our 4 webstores and website.
  • Turning Photoshop/Sketch documents into responsive, semantic HTML5 and CSS.
  • Maintaining existing and creating new API integrations with third-party services.
  • Basic Linux admin with Node.js, NGINX, MySQL and WordPress.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of our customer facing cloud services.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable experience building optimised, responsive websites targeting modern desktop and mobile browsers.
  • Strong HTML and CSS skills.
  • Comfortable building simple applications with JavaScript including in-browser Vanilla JS / JQuery and Node/Express on the backend.
  • Comfortable working with assets in Photoshop and Illustrator.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
  • Experience building HTML email templates.
  • Experience with E-Commerce websites.
  • SEO experience.
  • Experience with Websockets.
  • Basic familiarity with SVG and CSS animation.
