Job Description

Web DeveloperAlfen is delighted to be working exclusively with one of the trail blazers in IoT smart home gadgets. Due to the explosive growth of the business we are currently on the looking to hire a talented Web Developer particularly strong in Javascript, Node.js and Cloud/Database Administration.Web Developer - Duties

  • Maintaining our 4 webstores and website
  • Turning Photoshop/Sketch documents into responsive, semantic HTML5 and CSS
  • Maintaining existing and creating new API integrations with third-party services
  • Basic Linux admin with Node.js, nginx, MySQL and WordPress
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of our customer facing cloud services
    • Web Developer - Skills
  • Demonstrable experience building optimised, responsive websites targeting modern desktop and mobile browsers
  • Strong HTML and CSS skills
  • Comfortable building simple applications with JavaScript including in-browser Vanilla JS / JQuery and Node/Express on the backend.
  • Comfortable working with assets in Photoshop and Illustrator
    • Web Developer - Nice to have
  • Experience building HTML email templates
  • Experience with E-Commerce websites
  • SEO experience
  • Experience with Websockets
  • Basic familiarity with SVG and CSS animation
