I am currently working with a large charity that specialises in Mental Health and recovery. They are now seeking a volunteer co-ordinator. This is a very exciting role in which you will co-ordinate the volunteering programme within the service which willinclude supporting, inducting and mentoring a network of volunteers.Your main duties and responsibility will be;- Take a lead role working with the team leaders on developing a network of volunteers- contribute to the development of policies, protocols and procedures-Recruit volunteers, support them and mentor them- Work in conjunction with other services- Develop a forum where volunteers can meet for mutual support and feedbackTo be suitable for this role you must have worked in the mental health field before. You must have excellent written and verbal skills. Be able to use microsoft word, excel and power point. Good problem solving and decision making skills. Have an understandingof peer support.
