Job Description

The British Psychological Society is a registered charity which acts as the representative body for psychology and psychologists in the UK, and is responsible for the promotion of excellence and ethical practice in the science, education, and application of the discipline.As an organisation we support and enhance the development and application of psychology for the greater public good, setting high standards for research, education, and knowledge, and disseminating our knowledge to increase public awareness.This is a new role which will be initially home-based, moving into working in our Leicester head office when it re-opens as part of the Membership and Professional Development Directorate. One of our key objectives is to offer our members a suite of qualifications and professional development opportunities. From 2021 we will also provide the End Point Assessment (EPA) for psychological apprenticeships.Your responsibilities will include;

  • Establishing the BPS framework for the use of the platform, including:
  • Developing and maintaining user guides and documentation
  • Ensuring users are undertaking training, where required
  • Setting standards and ensuring they are maintained across the platform
  • Monitoring and reporting of user experience of the platform, ensuring that there is continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring that content is quality assured and signed-off before being published.
  • Advising and supporting on the creation and presentation of new and existing products.
  • Managing the learning platform contract and acting as the liaison between the supplier and the BPS.
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure the design and delivery of creative and high quality products.
  • The role will require;
  • Significant experience of building and publishing on online learning platforms, preferably Moodle
  • The Ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Great attention to detail to ensure that our VLE platform is delivered to the highest standards
