Job Description

As a Treasury Assistant, you will be working within our Finance Directorate and report in to the Financial Accounting Manager.Role

  • Update the Universitys cash flow, wforecast, maintain liquidity levels required to meet all liabilities as they fall due
  • Explore fixed term investments, monitoring counterparty credit ratings and activity on bank accounts on a daily basis for any fraudulent activity.
  • Completion of control account reconciliations working closely with income, payments, taxation and payroll teams, in ensuring month-end and year-end reporting deadlines are met.
  • Supporting the payments team to process manual payments and overseas payments via Bankline and addressing bank queries. This includes payment of the coupon associated with DMUs listed bond.
Ideal Candidate
  • Educated to a degree level or have equivalent work experience
  • Experience of working within a finance role covering treasury responsibilities and have the ability to summarise information from Microsoft Excel using pivots and v-lookups.
  • Knowledge of SAP Finance Systems or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience of online banking including processing international payments in line with SEPA regulations.
