Health Education England, working in the East Midlands, is looking for a Training Programme Director to join this School.As Training Programme Director you would be responsible for coordinating the training across the region. You will ensure that national standards, determined by Royal Colleges, the GMC and HEE are implemented locally.You will work with the Head of School to produce doctors who will strive for the highest standards of patient-centered care and commit themselves to a lifetime of professional development.Applicants must be currently working within the East Midlands area at consultant level or equivalent in the specialty school area. Experience within the specialty at consultant level is essential as is considerable experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.Our work is set within the Five Year forward view for the NHS and is defined by the HEE Mandate from Government. It is part of the consensus on how the NHS needs to change, with a key focus on prevention and a commitment to reducing health inequalities and promoting equality and diversity. Please note: The post is offered on a secondment basis and all candidates are reminded that if they are successful, they are responsible for securing written agreement from their employer for release from clinical work for the specified number of PAs.The length of appointment will be for three years at the first instance.
