Job Description

Following continued growth and investment, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Toolmaker to join a forward-thinking Family run business who offer plastic injection moulding, toolmaking and rapid prototyping services.As a Toolmaker, your duties will include -

  • Preventative maintenance and day to day servicing and repairs of injection mould tooling
  • Day to day toolmaking activities, maintaining tooling availability with minimum disruption to production
  • Preparation of injection moulds for production according to specification
  • Maintaining all necessary records - Tool Trials, Job Sheets etc.
  • Involvement in the Production System Program. (Continuous Improvement, Shop Floor Management)
We are keen to hear from any Toolmaker applicants who are -
  • Time served toolmakers (HND/C&G qualification or Apprenticeship) with a strong technical knowledge of injection mould tools
  • Highly skilled in milling, turning, grinding, spark erosion, welding and benchwork.
  • Experienced in root cause analysis focusing on process and tooling
  • Experienced with hot runner systems and mould assemblies
On offer -
  • A salary of £32 - 37K depending on experience
  • 40 hours per week: Monday - Friday, flexible, but the majority do 8am - 5pm
