Job Description

Job Role: Tool Setter / Pre-KitterLocation: Leicester, LE3Shift: Days - 6am to 6pm Monday to ThursdaySalary: £25-£40k DOESummary:Our client has a vacancy within their manufacturing department for the role of a Tool Setter / Pre-Kitter.This role is required to support the production department across both CNC Milling and Turning disciplines. You will be required to organise and ensure the timely preparation of tolling to support production demands and requirements.Role Accountabilities:

  • To work from operation set up packs and work instructions and collect prescribes tools from tool stores and assemble as directed
  • Assemble tools into holders as per set up pack instructions
  • Obtain gauges and check calibration dates
  • Present tooling packages to machine operators
  • Monitor tooling kits and replenish when required
  • Return fixtures to correct locations on completion of operations
  • Strip and clean holders, and to identify tooling to be refurbished
Candidate Specification:
  • A good understanding of CNC Turning and Milling preferably with previous experience of these disciplines
  • Have food hand-writing and be computer literate
  • Experience of a similar roles and proven track record of completing the expectations of the role to a high standard
  • Conscientious and have a methodical approach to work
  • Excellent attention to detail and level of accuracy
  • Initiative to work individually as well as working within a team
  • Must have a desire for continuous improvement
  • An understanding and alignment to company values; respect, integrity, safety and excellence
