Mercia Group is one of them!Mercia Group is one of the leading providers of training and support services to the UK accountancy profession, working with over 8000 firms nationwide.Main Purpose of RoleIn this role you will be performing high quality independent and objective file reviews to evaluate accountancy practices compliance with regulatory standards.You will also work with the wider Technical team and strategy as and when needed, in particular, answering the A&A technical query (TQ) helpline, contributing to technical content used for other purposes i.e. training courses (you could even get involvedin presenting if you would like to) and supply clear and compelling technical materials for marketing and website purposes.You will be someone who loves working closely with clients and who is comfortable supporting our Sales and Marketing team as required by representing your technical field in client meetings. As you will be working closley with clients, you will also be expectedto bring the account managers in or cross-refer to them where clients are potentially interested in additional Mercia products and services.You will have diary managers who will help you manage the workload, in return you will work closely with our Client Success and Operations team to ensure that you are clear on any specific client requirements and how client success can be achieved.If this sounds like the type of varied role you would enjoy, why not submit an application and one of our team will be in touch asap to let you know next steps.Skills and Experience Required- Professionally qualified to ACA standard or equivalent with post qualification experience including experience of reviewing audit files or compliance work in practice.- Excellent technical knowledge in the field of audit and accounts and compliance regulation- The ability to grasp changes and have the required skill to translate knowledge into written and verbal practical guidance to meet the needs of accountancy practitioners.- The ability to undertake a high degree of research to stay abreast of the changing regulations.- Excellent commercial awareness of the UK accounting profession.- Ability to apply technical knowledge clearly and practically to a range of client firms and situations.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and fluency in business English language skills to take on complex writing assignments.- A high degree of organisational and project management skills.As a portfolio Company, we are all different at Wilmington.
