Job Description

Systems Development AccountantLocation: Leicester or Walton on Thames, covering nationwide so remote working consideredSalary: £37,000 - £43,000Hours: Full Time, PermanentClosing date: Sunday 2nd mayOur client are an award winning provider of affordable, quality homes, but their business is about more than property - it’s about people. they aim to put our residents at the centre of everything they do and offer first class services to all.Our client’s business is built around decades of experience in the social housing sector across the Midlands, London, Home Counties and the South East. They hold a stock of more than 24,000 homes and employ 600 plus staff to provide a high standard of service to their householders.They are looking for a Systems Development Accountant to work with colleagues in the Finance team and beyond to drive continuous improvement to the financial systems utilised.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Improve system integration and interfaces across finance and other systems
  • Develop robotic automation processes to improve efficiencies
  • Be the technical lead on Bluebox to ensure Rent and Service Charge deliverables are met, offering solutions and guidance on system optimisation.
  • Work with Finance team colleagues to undertake process reviews with a view to improving efficiency through enhanced use of appropriate software solutions
  • Project manage the implementation of approved new financial software and changes / upgrades to existing software
    • They’re looking for you to have / hold:
  • Experience of a high performing finance function
  • Experience of developing high quality financial reports
  • Be a Qualified accountant, or part-qualified with firm commitment to complete qualification
  • Formal recognition of IT expertise (e.g. an IT related degree / qualification)
  • Experience of the various software applications typically used within a finance function, including Oracle, P2P, Bluebox, Spreadsheet Server.
  • Be comfortable writing and developing SQL scripts from Oracle, P2P, Northgate and Bluebox and other databases where required.
