Job Description

We are recruiting a Part time and or Full-time Assessor within Sports Turf / Greenkeeping or Horticulture specialisms.Candidates should have an established background in the Horticulture, Sports Turf and or the Golf Greenkeeping industry to carry out their work and have experience of Work based learning/ Apprenticeships.As a Trainer Coach your role is to deliver high quality teaching, assessment, coaching and mentoring.As a Trainer Coach you will develop and nurture excellent relationships with all stakeholders both internally and externally throughout the learning journey. As a highly skilled individual, you will maintain three area of professional practice through CPD:sector-professional, teaching-professional, and coaching-professional.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Manage, monitor and administer all e-Learning systems, providing an audit trail unique to each learner, capturing contact, progression, and support provided.
• Provide information, advice and guidance (IAG) to learners and learner line managers.
• Support and embed English and maths development within the learning process, promoting and encouraging use of e-Learning resources. Support learners to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills.
• Facilitate and deliver learning via workshops and webinars.
• Develop, plan and implement curriculum delivery models, SOW and resources with Head of Sector and follow company best practice.
• Standardise practice according to quality benchmarks and meet performance targets agreed with line manager via the Team Around Learner process
• Practice using a wide range of training and assessment methods with individuals and groups of learners to ensure we meet individual and client employer needs and expectations.
• Ensure learners understand, take responsibility for and record their off-the-job training within their learning journal as per the delivery model.
• Provide pastoral support to learners to ensure that their additional learning needs have been met.
• Conduct regular progress reviews and report on issues to enable support strategies
• Where already qualified, complete IQA sampling of delegated learners in line with the IQA cycle and expectations.

Essential Requirements:

• The applicant should hold the assessor qualifications (CAVA or equivalent) although full training for the Assessor qualification will be offered
• Hold an NVQ/WBD Level 3 or Higher qualification in Greenkeeping or Sports Turf management
• Have at least 3 years relevant industry experience and evidence of CPD in the subject specialism where required
• Hold GSCEs A*-C grace or equivalent (e.g., Level 2 English and Maths Functional Skills)
• A good understanding of holistic planning and assessment is necessary
• Professional occupational experience and qualification within their sector
• Must hold a full clean driving license and willing to travel nationally when required
• Understanding of mentoring and coaching best practice

Desirable:

• Hold a Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification (or equivalent)
• Coaching and Mentoring Qualification
• Demonstrate readiness to achieve IQA qualification and deliver IQA sampling where required in line with the business expectation
• Experience of Apprenticeship End Point Assessment (EPA)
• Membership to occupationally relevant organisation
