Job Description

I am working on a permanent Service Charge Accountant based in Leicester for a Housing Association. This is an exciting role for a part qualified Accountant who has experience in either Public or Private property with Service Charge experience.Client DetailsMy client is a well known Housing Association based in Leicester, operating out of the Midlands and London. My client are able to offer fantastic flexible working with 3 days working from home and promoting a good work/ life balance.DescriptionThe Service Charge Accountant will report directly to the Service Charge Manager. Duties of the Service Charge Accountant includes but is not limited to:

  • Delivering the day to day activity of the Service Charge team and working collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing knowledge of schemes to ensure charges are affordable and represent value for money
  • Production of annual budgets using the Service Charge Management System
  • Producing year end statements for variable service charges
  • Assist in the resolution of service charge queries from both internal and external customers
  • Other ad hoc duties as directed by the Service Charge Manager
ProfileThe successful candidate will:
  • Be a part qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) Accountant
  • Have experience working in a busy finance function within housing (public or private)
  • Have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Have the ability to analyse and present complex information simply
  • Be proactive
  • Be a team player
Job OfferThe successful candidate can expect a starting salary equivalent to £45,000 + an opportunity for fully remote if not local to Leicester + great development and progression opportunities + 25 days annual leave + other voluntary benefits such a retail discountsand subsidised travel
