Here at HM Land Registry, we have an exciting opportunity availablefor a Senior Data Analyst. You will join us on a flexible working, full-time, job share or part time, permanent basis and, in return,you will receive a competitive salary of £33,839 (£37,290 Croydon) per annum. This Senior Data Analyst role will focus on utilising programming skills to collate, produce and analyse complex datasets for use both within the team and for internal customers.This is a chance to help establish a strong analytical and modelling function within a high impact / complex area of the organisation in order to improve its use of data to drive continuous improvement. Supported by highly engaged leaders, the successfulcandidate will use their expertise to drive database development and delivery and analysis of high-quality datasets, undertaking priority tasks that meet the needs of the wider group.Key responsibilities for the Senior Data Analyst:Working with the G7 Team Lead and sub-team lead to build on existing work in the analytical space, you will act as the initial point of contact for key datasets relating to high impact or complex areas of the organisation. You will also help to develop othersand share expertise.What were looking for in our Senior Data Analyst:To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant skills, knowledge, and application of Operational Research (OR) techniques;
  • Qualifications to allow badging to join GORS (Government Operational Research Service) in an analytical profession.
This should include:
  • Experience of developing some MI and analytical/modelling insight
  • Experience of using databases for data storage, processing and extraction and of using one or more of: SQL, VBA, VB.net, R or Python;
  • Evidence of at least one high profile analytical project you have managed.
You should also have:
  • Strong experience of senior stakeholder engagement to understand needs and manage expectations;
  • Good experience of analytical quality assurance under time and resource pressure;
  • Good team working ethos and strong communication skills particularly in the presentation of analysis with impact.
