Our mission is to provide effective, efficient and economic IT and media services for the organisation to enable people to make the best opportunity of their time at DMU.RoleAn exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Audio-Visual professional to join a team who install, support, design and maintain A/V equipment in 500+ spaces across the University including classrooms, labs, lecture theatres, meeting rooms and specialist spaces, ensuring a high level of availability and usability for staff and students.We have a wide range of A/V systems on campus and troubleshoot issues end to end, from checking wiring & DM terminations to configuring DSP’s, Debugging code & making changes to programs currently running in A/V spaces. Your role will be to help support these functions across campus and to be a point of technical escalation for the rest of the team, whilst working closely with Estates, IT teams and our AV integrator for larger projects such as the recently completed Hugh Aston Courtyard Building "TheYard".Ideal CandidateIt is essential that you have experience in audio-visual in a large and complex environment, operating to agreed service levels and possess good knowledge of current and future trends in audio-visual technologies and IT.Knowledge of A/V design principles, technical drawings, networking, general IT Skills, DSPsetup and configuration, Crestron A/V systems and programming would be highly advantageous.You will have excellent team working, communication, organisational and customer service skills with the ability to build effective relationships and user expectations, and must be a strong team player who can analyse and prioritise your own and the team’s workload and meet challenging deadlines.
