Job Description

£25k-£32k basic + On-call & Overtime bonuses (+£2,405 London Weighting where applicable)Protect My Property is currently looking to expand their Field teams by recruiting Security Maintenance Engineers within the Coventry / Leicestershire / Northamptonarea. As a Security Maintenance Engineer, you will work on our Nationwide security customerbase, currently circa 12,000 customers.The main part of the role is attending customers homes to complete maintenance appointments as scheduled by the office, however over time and after training, you will also cover domestic installs. You will have a usual geographical area to work within, howeverin line with business need, you will at times be expected to travel outside of this area.All of our Security Maintenance Engineers are expected to participate in an out of hours (on call) rota system, shared across the team, to provide 24hr emergency cover to our customers and to provide a 4hr response in line with current NSI regulations.Due to the nature of our work all candidates must hold a full UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 points) and have no colour sight deficiency.You will be contracted to work 40 hours a week and your standard off-call shifts will typically be 8 hours between 08:00-18:00.What we can offer you

Key responsibilities
  • Flexibility to adapt working hours to meet with customer requirements
  • Attend domestic and small commercial premises to complete onsite appointments for planned and corrective maintenance
  • Completion of job dockets/paperwork following every customer visitadvising of any follow-on parts and/or visits to correct any faults or deficiencies identified onsite
  • Provision of excellent customer service to meet the expectations and requirements of all customers
  • Guide customers on how to use our systems and provide recommendations and quotes where new products may be more suitable
  • Adhere to health & safety guidelines
  • Achieve and exceed work performance targets and adhere to all regulations
  • Other duties may be undertaken as and when required, in particular when new business is gained
What youll bring to the roleEssential:
  • Previous experience in a technical role with transferrable skills i.e. security, white goods, telecoms, audio visual, electricals etc
  • Demonstrate a successful track record of achievement in a customer facing environment
  • Willingness to develop skillset in line with the experienced Security Maintenance Engineers
  • Demonstrates passion for customer experience
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Willingness to learn on the job in addition to training and show ability to manage self-development
  • Deal constructively with changing circumstances
  • Deliver objectives in line with role profile
  • Ability to lift, carry and climb ladders, ensuring conformance to health and safety requirements
  • Ability to use power tools to repair, install and/or dismantle equipment
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of security systems and/or intruder alarm manufacturer experience
  • CCTV knowledge is advantageous
  • Prior sales, surveying & quotation experience
  • Relevant additional certificates i.e. IPAF, Working @ Height
