A UK subsidiary of a 250m+ engineering business is seeking a hands on Sales Manager who has the potential or ability to drive and develop sales strategies, whilst managing the overall business.BASIC SALARY: £45,000 - £55,000BENEFITS: Bonus Company Car 25 days holiday & statutory holiday Pension (increasing with service)LOCATION: Birmingham, West Midlands - with UK travel.COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Stoke, Coventry, Leicester, Wolverhampton, WorcesterJOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Manager - Engineering SolutionsThis is a rare opportunity for a Sales Manager to join, an established UK subsidiary of a 250m+ global surface engineering business looking to elevate their UK offering with the appointment of an engineering biased, hands on Sales Manager.Entering the business, your primary focuses will be to strengthen existing client relations, identify and win new business, increase the UK sales turnover, and profit margins whilst being an active and valued member within a small team. You will have thefull support, guidance and 1-2-1 training from the UK General Manager and their knowledge and experience will be instrumental in enabling you to be successful and create an effective sales strategy to target and drive business growth (both in market shareand turnover).In addition, you will actively collaborate with Group colleagues, providing you with the full autonomy to explore new market infiltration, diversifying and complementing our current markets such as Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Oil and Gas.REQUIREMENTS: Sales Manager - Engineering SolutionsUltimately, you will be a technically minded sales person with a proven track record of success of selling a technical solution. Any candidate qualified in a Mechanical or Chemical Discipline would be of particular interest.In addition to: Demonstrating a solid sales background of the full 360 sales cycle to identify and win business. Any knowledge of metallurgy would be of great interest although not essential Having the technical and commercial acumen to understand business requirements and align a solution utilising our full range of services. Strong stakeholder management, someone who is an effective communicator able to build credibility and trust whilst negotiating on business proposals and services. Being commercially astute, with the ability to create effective business growth strategies. Displaying a strong eye for detail, able to problem solve through quickly assessing the problem, devising, and implementing remedial or preventive measures. Having strong time management and prioritisation skills. Being an active team player, someone who can operate effectively both individual and collectively.
