As the United Nations (UN) designated Global Hub for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 - the only UK university to be designatedas such - we have a commitment to address the UN SDGs in our research, teaching and enterprise activity.Faculty / Directorate The 24-month Discharge to Assess (D2) project proposes to use novel and disruptive methodologies to capture physical and physiological datasets & biomarkers to provide an AI-augmented approach to D2A. The project is a collaboration between MiiCare, WillowsHealth, Connected Places Catapult and DMU. The project places service users at the heart of the design process. The project aims to work with users, their families, and health and social care providers to co-design a solution that meets their needs.RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic Research Assistant to be a core part of a multi-disciplinary research team looking to positively impact patients discharged from the hospital by applying artificial intelligence to Discharge to Assess (D2A) processes. The datagenerated would enable comprehensive digital records of the overall patient well-being from conversations, gait and other vital data captured while in their home. In addition, the 24-month project will deliver a co-designed product with involvement from olderadults, their families, clinicians and social care providers and a tested product that has been piloted.This post will be 18.75 hours per week.Ideal Candidate We are looking for a researcher with knowledge of participatory research designs and a background to join the research team. We would welcome applications from candidates with experiences in qualitative/quantitative research methods and knowledge of a rangeof participatory research approaches in any relevant discipline, including behavioural sciences, psychology, social sciences, health and humanities. This will be a stimulating experience where you will conduct empirical research, analyse data, and prepareresearch reports. You will also be part of a wider academic team and work with local communities in Leicester.Closing Date: 22 January 2023 Interviews will take place on: 10th February 2023
