Job Description

Dealing with quality defects within the production process. This will include liaising with the Operations, Engineering, SQA and Manufacturing teams to understand the issue and help to resolve it.Client DetailsOur client is a well-established firm in the Manufacturing sector with a strong presence in Leicester.   • Planning and carrying out incoming goods inspection.
  • Quarantining the defective part such that it cant be used.
  • Containing the problem to stop it getting any worse.
  • Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing preventative and corrective actions using the relevant quality tools.
  • Working closely with SQA and reporting all supplier issues using 8D tool.
  • Working closely with Engineering and reporting all drawing issues.
  • Completing, maintaining and reviewing all quality records.
  • Identifying all inspection tools and leading the calibration activities.
  • Raising quality alerts, monitoring and making sure internal teams are aware.
  • Making effective decision and taking responsibility to see the issue through to resolution.
  • Making sure that the inspection and quarantine areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment and uphold all safety policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with the wider team to ensure effective communication using excellent verbal and written skills.Dealing confidently with people from a range of backgrounds and technical ability in a high-pressure environment.
  • Behaving with high responsiveness to provide support in the handling of quality issues and being proactive for regular planned quality tasks.
Profile
  • Proficiency with various web-based and office software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Access …etc.
  • Experience in understanding and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of various mechanical/electrical measuring devices and equipment.
  • Skills and experience in performing 3D measurements. Ideally, experience in using Faro arm for 3D inspections.
