Quality Assurance Engineer Leicester / Remote £27,000 to £30,000 + Package Excellent opportunity for a QA Engineer / QA Tester to join a financially strong, stable, and well ran organisation in a highly varied and interesting role where you can progress your career. Through growth they are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their busy team. In this role you will be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment, this to ensure that the validation of deliverables against requirements. You will conduct manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose. Software testing involves the analysis of software, and systems, to avert risk and prevent software issues. The ideal candidate will be a QA Engineer with experience working with IT Business Systems (ERP, WMS, Web Applications, SAP, Oracle, Sage) and have a strong background in Agile and Waterfall methodologies. SQL scripting / ETL testing skills beneficial. Automation and Manual Testing experience. Use of Cucumber beneficial. The role: *Read all the documents and understand what needs to be tested, ensuring that deliverables will meet customer requirements *Meeting with business analysts/system users to understand the scope of projects *Carry out smoke and regression testing in accordance with project / release time ensuring that testing KPIs for completion are met *Writing and executing test scripts in accordance with industry best practices *Running manual and automated tests in accordance with industry best practices *Testing in different environments including web and mobile *Remote working with weekly trips to head office in Leicester The person: *Experience working with IT Business Systems (ERP, WMS, Web Applications, SAP, Oracle, Sage) *Background in both Agile/Waterfall Methodologies *SQL scripting / ETL testing skills, Web application testing experience *Automated and Manual testing, experience on Cucumber beneficial Required skills
