Job Title Production EngineerLocation LeicesterSalary to £30K - £35k per annumThe RoleTo provide Engineering support required for the Production processes of the business, focusing on quality, reviewing and advising on production methods, continuous improvement and reduction of scrap/waste, working closely to support the Head of EngineeringPreparation of documents, defining the production process, including preparatory works created from design drawings, with detailed descriptions of the individual work operations. Providing technical support to manufacturing including programming, internal& external production issues, ordering tooling/consumables.37.5 hours per week but flexibility to work additional hours as requiredStandard hours are 8.15am to 16.45pm Monday to Thursday, and 8am to 2pm on FridayContributory pension scheme25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysThe CandidateEducated to degree level BSc degree in Manufacturing Technology or similar and/or 5 years experience in metal cutting manufacturer companyExperience within the manufacturing industry, preferably within the motorsport or AerospaceExperience with CAD softwareExperience with Kaizen, 5S, Continuous Improvement and Lean Enterprise practicesExperience with ISO 9001 requirements, basic knowledge of product liabilityCommunication skills consist of the ability to read, analyses, and interpret technical or complex documentsProficient in the use of MS Office, ERP-systemsAbility to work in a team environment with a "Can Do" attitudeClient OverviewOur client develop, manufacture, maintain and distribute mechanical systems in the hi-tech field for dynamic components in the global niche markets of motor racing, and the aviation industry.
