We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to work in Leicester as part of a team working Hours 8.15am - 4.45 pm Monday - Thursday and 8am - 2pm Friday and as the Production Engineer you will provide Engineering support required for the Productionprocesses of the business, focusing on quality, reviewing and advising on production methods, continuous improvement and reduction of scrap/waste, working closely to support the Head of EngineeringResponsibilities as the Production EngineerPreparation of documents, defining the production process, including preparatory works created from design drawings, with detailed descriptions of the individual work operationsConducting technical feasibility at enquiry stageCreating stage drawingsCreating material master data and routing in the ERP System (ABAS)Design of jigs/fixtures/toolingAssisting with machine purchase specifications, maintenance plans & repairsAssisting with Machine layout/movingAssisting with Site services/maintenanceProviding technical support to manufacturing including programming, internal & external production issues, ordering tooling/consumablesProviding technical support to quality including Quality Plans/Control Plans, internal & external NCRsImplementation of corrective actionsBeing aware of current projects being scheduled/in progressContinuous Improvement in the production processesWe are ideally looking for the below to be successful as the Production EngineerExperience in metal cutting manufacturer companyExperience within the manufacturing industry, preferably within the Racing Industry or AerospaceExperience with CAD/CAM softwareExperience in reading manufacturing drawingsExperience in defining manufacturing processesOnce successful in the role of Production Engineer you will receive the followingearly finish on a Friday, private pension after 3 months, life insurance, relaxed working environment, hols 25 plus Bank Holiday and free parkingOffice Angels acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
