Fire Door Specialist - Product Manager is required by a market leading European manufacturer to support their UK operation in the development and marketing of their innovative Dual Fire and Security Door Set technical compliance solution.BASIC SALARY: £43,000 - £48,000BENEFITS: Bonus Car Contributory Pension Healthcare Scheme 24 Days Holiday plus StatsLOCATION: Based at our UK Head Office - KetteringCOMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Peterborough, Leicester, Coventry, Milton Keynes and BedfordJOB DESCRIPTION: Product Manager - Fire DoorsA full detailed brief will be supplied to short-listed candidates but in summary, working closely with our Technical Director, you will be responsible for:The technical development and management and "market voice" of multiple different Q Mark Accredited "Dual Fire and Security Door Set" Technical Compliance Solutions The test evidence compliant solution is offered to potential fire and security door set manufacturers. The role will involve direct presentation to support the sales activity. Understand details of the current and evolving Fire and Security Door Set compliance and test evidence requirements and ensure we have the knowledge to continually adapt strategies to comply with current and future best practice, current legal and compliancerequirements Understanding of timber and /or composite fire door production and installation would be a significant advantage Understanding of Q Mark accreditation schemes would of particular interest Taking information from the market, customers and prospects (supplied) and managing that data to manage and justify if further test evidence is commercially beneficial to ensure we are in the best possible position to maximise all sales opportunities. Providing technical support both in-house and externally as "our Product Champion" for our Dual Fire and Security Door Set Technical Compliance Solutions Developing positive and mutually beneficial relationships with the relevant Industry Influencers Secured by Design, BWF Woodworking Federation, ACDM Association Composite Door Manufacturers, Fire Test Houses etcPERSON SPECIFICATION: Product Manager - Fire DoorsIt is highly likely you will have worked for a Fire Door Manufacturer, a Fire Certification Testing House or a Specialist Joinery Manufacturer as a Technical Fire door Specialist, Technical Manager, Product Manager or a Technical Specifications Manager as examples.It is also likely you will have some or all of the following:Fire Test / Global Assessment / 3rd Party Accreditation creation experience Fire door production and specifications experience extremely advantageous, knowledge and experience of timber fire door markets would be specifically advantageous. Knowledge and experience of the BS476 and EN1634 fire testing and the benefit to the market Knowledge of PAS 024 AutoCAD, SolidWorks CAD (or similar) experience an advantage, but not essentialCharacter wise, we nee a market focused Product Manager / Technical Specialist, ideally with a commercial understanding; an individual who relishes detail but who is also happy to technically support the sales teams when presenting to architects/specifiersand manufacturers.THE COMPANY:We are a European, market leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative window and door hardware; supplying direct to window and door manufacturers, through specification, to architectural practices and Registered social landlords, and via established distributorchannels.INTERESTED Please click apply.
