This is an exciting opportunity to join the Advanced Analytics Unit. Come join a growing team of data passionate people, who work with stakeholders across the health and care system to scope and deliver value-adding analytics. Our team members have a wide range of experience in healthcare and beyond, with academic backgrounds in mathematics, health economics, statistics, operational research, epidemiology, computer science, data science and physics. We work closely with our customers to understand the challenges that they face and ensure that decisions are underpinned by data and evidence. Our work ranges from retrospective evaluations to predictive analytics, utilising approaches such as time series forecasting, machine learning, deep learning, statistical inference, probabilistic methods and simulation.We are looking for two Principal Insight Analysts to join our growing and passionate team. You will have excellent data literacy and statistical knowledge, in order to select the most appropriate analytical methodology, and be an advocate of evidence-based decision making. You will enjoy working with other technical experts to deliver analytical projects and have experience across fields such as data science, health economics, operational research, data visualisation and statistics, and demonstrate in-depth expertise in at least one discipline. You will be confident in using SQL for data collation and tools such as R / SAS / Python / Stata for data science and analyses. You will be self-motivated and keen to learn new skills, keeping abreast of developments in our field, whilst contributing to a wider team and sharing ideas of how we can innovate and expand our product and solution base.If this sounds like you and want to start a career journey in analytics in the NHS, to ensure that data is at the heart of decision making and innovation, then apply today.
